You see the quaint villages of Beuvron de Auge<\/strong>, Beaufour<\/strong>, Bonnebosq<\/strong>, Grandouet<\/strong>, Druval <\/strong>and Crevecoeur en Auge<\/strong> and Pont l\u2019Eveque<\/strong> and Camembert to possibly visit a <\/strong>cheese producer.<\/p>\n
\nThe abbey but also the bay are listed by the UNESCO as a world heritage site, with the highest tides of Europe. The difference between low tide and high tide can be slightly more than 14 metres (almost 46 foot)!
\nThe Mont Saint Michel used to be the fourth place of pilgrimage in the Middle Ages. Benedictines monks left the monastery at the French Revolution in 1789 but 11 years ago, a new community came to leave on the rock, the Monastic Brotherhood of Jerusalem.
