Day 1:  Casablanca for 2 nights

Day 2:

Day 3:  Fez for 3 nights

Day 4:

Morning private guided tour of Fez

Duration of tour: 4 hours

Fez, the holy city of the Cherifian Kingdom, is the most imperial of all imperial cities of Morocco. The origins of the city stretch back to the era of the first dynasty of Morocco. Moulay Idriss (descendant of the prophet Mohammed) built Fez and made it his capital. You will start this tour by visiting The MEDINA, the largest in Morocco. Due to its immense size, in 1976, it was subdivided into some twenty smaller Medinas and is now declared as a world cultural treasure from UNESCO. This follows with a visit to the Medersa Bou Inania, which was the largest school in Fez and the most costly. You will then go to Nejjarine Square. Then you will see the Karaouyine Mosque (outside view only), one of the oldest religious teaching centres, with a university tradition dating back to the 10th century. You will then visit the Tanneries, the colourful tanner’s quarter, spread out along the banks of the Oued Fez. Finally pass trough the modern city before your transfer back at your hotel.

 

Day 5:

Private Half Day Excursion to Meknes and Volubilis

After driving from Fez to Meknes you will visit the most important sights of this former imperial city of Morocco. Meknes, known as the city of olive groves, is a typical small city founded by the Meknassa tribe from whom it holds its name. You will first visit the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum then the Bab El Mansour, one of the most beautiful gates in Morocco and then the Medina. You will then continue to Volubilis to see the most important Roman ruins in Morocco, which include about 30 impressive mosaic floors dating from 25BC. The tour then ends with a transfer back to your hotel in Fez.

Day 6:  Marrakech for 5 nights

Day 7:

Private Full Day Sightseeing Marrakech 

Duration of tour: 8 hours

During this escorted tour you will discover several impressive sights. First stop will be at the Koutoubia Minaret Mosque (the twin tower of la Giralda in Seville, Spain) only muslims are permitted to enter. Then we proceed to Saadian Tombs demonstrating Moorish architecture in its perfection. The tombs, consisting of splendid mausoleums built in the sixteenth century, were walled for some time, not to be discovered until 1917. The Bahia Palace, Real jewel of Moorish architecture and art from the end of the 19th Century, full of History and stories about Sultan, wives, concubines, children, etc. The morning tour will end in a guest house in the Medina where lunch will be at own cost. After lunch and a light break, to better discover Marrakesh, we will enter an intricate maze of the narrow streets in the world of the souks. Protected from the sun by slatted awnings, they’ll find a variety of quarters established by craftsmen, according to a structured system of corporation. There are souks of basketwork, dried fruit, spices, clothes, wool, skins, Berber carpet, leatherwork, ironwork, jewelry. we will then visit the famous Jamaa El Fna Square. This traditional meeting place for peasants and merchants from the Souss region, the High atlas and the South, has become the heart of Marrakech. The tour will end in the Ben Youssef Medersa that was the Islamic college of Marrakech was constructed around 1565. It is the largest Medersa in all of Morocco.

Day 8:

Day at leisure to relax and enjoy the city

One night, explore Djemaa el-Fna, the city’s lively main square, which transforms each evening into a multisensory pageant of energetic street performances and tantalizing food stalls.

Visit the best boutiques and galleries in Gueliz.

Visit the massive souks where shops offer local products such as argan oil, Berber carpets and Moroccan slippers. Also visit the spice souks, which are stocked with locally harvested saffron, cumin and other ingredients. Relax with a glass of Moroccan mint tea at one of our favorite spots, and enjoy reservations at elegant restaurants in restored ryads (guesthouses).

 

Day 9:

Private tour in the Atlas Mountains

About An hour and Half Drive from Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains offer a distinctive refuge from the heat of the red city. An opportunity to meet the Berbers and see how they go about their daily lives. Having mint tea with them. Visit a local Berber house; see traditional bridges and clear waters running through the valley. A Private Trip to discover typical villages hanging by the banks of the river as well as experiencing simple yet well-preserved ways of life.
