Day 1; Arrival – Levi snowmobile northern lights safari

Your chauffeur will pick you up at the airport and take you to your accommodation Levin iglut.

Winter outfit will be delivered to your igloo. Getting ready for exciting snowmobile trip “Looking for Northern Light”.

Snowmobile safari will be a special experience to discover the magic of snowy forests in the night. Given extra light by the white snow reflection or the stars and the moon, we follow the snowmobile trails away from city lights and looking for the spot to admire the sky.

Your guide will light up a bonfire and we will enjoy a picnic while waiting for the Northern Lights to appear. Everyone can grill traditional Finnish “makkara” sausages on the fire and we serve tea to keep yourself warm.

Day 2; Levi husky safari – Santas hideaway

Today we learn how to handle our very own team of huskies. The friendly barks of the huskies welcome you to the farm and once you depart from the farm on the sledges the dogs quiet down and get to work. They love to run! For you it is time to enjoy the surrounding nature and the sledge ride in silence. After safari have some time to take photos, pet the dogs and hear amazing stories of the lovely huskies. After the safari it’s time for hugs and goodbyes to our honest and brave husky teams before the car transfer back to Levi.

Next we will step into a fairytale!

In all the Christmas commotion, good old Santa Claus always finds a moment to personally take part in decorating and preparation for holidays in the the most secret corners of Lapland. One location not yet ready for holidays is Villa Rudolf, his favourite place to celebrate with the elves. Santa invites you to go with him into the woods in search of a suitable tree, cook amazing cookies with Mrs. Claus, decorate the villa, and finally to have fun and play with the elves in the fresh Lappish air, the most important element of decorating the villa and bringing in the holiday spirit.

Day 3; Levi reindeeer safari

Lapland – the land of reindeer and reindeer herders, and on this reindeer farm, you can feel the spirit and distinctive feature of life of the Sami. Here you will meet with the reindeer; the most adventurous can go to the paddock and feed the animals. Farm hosts talk about their life and will answer all your questions. After a short briefing you will go on a journey on a reindeer sleigh, and you will manage it all by itself. Cold? Get warm by the fire enjoying traditional warm juice.

Day 4; Rovaniemi Santa Village & Santa Park + Rovaniemi VIP meeting with Santa

You can meet Santa Claus and cross the magical Arctic Circle at the Santa Claus Village in Lapland in Finland. Santa Claus spends his time at the Santa Claus Village every day of the year to take care of his mission in life; to enhance the wellbeing of children and the kindness of grown-ups, as well as spreading the message love and goodwill of Christmas Spirit throughout the globe. Rovaniemi is The Official Home of Santa Claus.

After Santa village, we continue to Santa Park. In Santa ‘s own words. ´´One year as I was returning from my long Christmas journey, I stopped for a rest on a hillside at the northern Arctic Circle. Its picturesque nature really warmed my heart. This is when I came up with a splendid idea: an underground network of caves could be made inside the hill, a place where I could welcome friends, a place with everlasting Christmas! “. The industrious elves worked very hard to finish the cave in no time at all, and it was given the name Santa Park, the Home Cavern of Santa Claus.

Day 5: Ice fishing by snowmobile

Welcome to a breathtaking tour by snowmobile. We take you on a tour through deep forests in a beautiful winter world. This is a trip through the beautiful area around the Levi. Your guide will teach you how to drill a hole in the ice and prepare the ice-fishing rod and baits. Then it‘s time to test your skills. Afterwards you return back to the city by snowmobile – hopefully with your catch of the day.

Day 6; Snow Queen – Levi excursion to Snow Village with dinner

In search of Kay, you will be led to the chamber of the Snow Queen. The Snow Queen is living far away in cold Lapland. Many brave souls did their best to approach her, hopinging to persuade her, but her heart of ice is unable to feel anything at all. People have thousands of legends about her, but nobody has managed to thaw her heart.

In this journey children and parents become a part of an adventure. Together with a local guide you will try to find her Ice Castle in the wilderness, fight road burglers along the way, and and hopefuly get the right directions from a mischievous shaman. Will you survive and return home safe or will you become another ice sculpture in Snow Queen’s fortress?

Next we will head nearly 200km above the Arctic Circle where there lies a destination of exciting arctic adventures and breathtaking constructions made of snow and ice. In Snow Village you can marvel at the magnificent sculpture art all around the area. Snow Village is located in Western part of Finnish Lapland, in close proximity of Ylläs and Levi ski-resorts.

The annual construction of the Snow Village begins when the temperature drops about ten degrees below zero which is usually at the end of october or the beginning of november. Approximately 1,5 million kilos of snow and 300 000 kilos of crystal clear, natural ice are used for the construction. The constructors, specialized in using snow and ice as building material, are constantly developing new tools and instruments for snow construction and exploring innovative ways of taking this artform into new levels.
